    • Jim Miller I don't think they're against corporations, as much as they are people being treated unfairly. It's about equality.

    • Mike Ahuja capitalism is about competition, communism is about equality

    • Mike Ahuja neil i understand it's about "irresponsible spending" from all parties involved...govt, corporations, banks, but also the public...
    • David SanDoval corporations need to distribute their profits more equally. Bottom line.. workers are getting screwed, while the higher ups get all the benefit. Mike, WTF are you doing? Are you the oppressor?
    • Chris Ahuja David, corporations is a general term and I don't think it's fair to label all corps screwing their employees. Distribute profits to employees, is that what you mean?
    • David SanDoval yes, exactly. When I say corporations, I mean multinational corporations, or those who rake in tons of money and distribute it extremely unfairly.
    • Chris Ahuja Which companies do it fairly?
    • David SanDoval unfortunately, even collectives are plagued by greed. Greed is the real enemy.
    • Chris Ahuja Now, that is fact. That is clear, That is Specific. That crosses over all party lines. That is something that should be addressed.

    • Mike Ahuja not all greed is bad, greed actually is a catalyst for innovation to make something better than the competition...like apple for example or every country's space program

    • David SanDoval It's not always about who has the bigger dick.. Mike.. You fucken capitalist. lol. See that's the problem with our mental process.. it's all about fucken worthless paper. Money is not even real anymore.

    • David SanDoval When the means of production creates wealth for just one person, rather than benefitting those who MAKE the wealth.. and then those with the wealth refuse to share.. problems will arise.
    • David SanDoval example: what do you think about an apple employee overseas, who works like a slave and gets paid pennies, who can't afford to buy an iPad with a years wage? Sad, but it happens

    • Ryan 'Pearl' Purol Mike, I love how one glance down your wall indicates that today is clearly the day that you decided to start taking notice to occupy LA. This lends cred to my theory that originated with my labor day party! :-p

I blame NAFTA as the catalyst. You can't have a nation of managers, while production is farmed out to support another country's economy. Some folks make great leaders and some folks make great producers, and assembly line workers, and those folks are really the majority. A nation of some CEOs, and a huge base of hungry, sick, poor unemployed folks is, y'know, not the way to a healthy economy. Hungry, sick, poor and unemployed folks don't just disappear. They usurp resources, rather than contribute to the economy. History has shown these situations never end well, or lead to anything remotely resembling innovation or success. That, and our CEO:Worker pay ratio isn't actually attractive to investors. Like any bubble...it bursts, and it's not even the first time that's happened: http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/corpgov/2011/08/11/why-ceo-to-worker-pay-ratios-matter-to-investors/ and http://www.epi.org/publication/webfeatures_snapshots_20060621/
